Carb cap

If you’re into dabbing (which you absolutely should be) then you’re of course familiar with the concept of a carb cap. If you’re not, a carb cap is basically an apparatus that you use to dab at low temperatures, and they also limit your concentrate’s exposure to the air. Carb caps are also super useful for collecting extra oil and making your dabs taste better. So yeah, carb caps are awesome. Sometimes you just don’t have access to one. Luckily, there are things that you can use around your house that will suit your needs just fine.

Silicone Container

If you’re a dabber, you should have a silicone container to keep your wax or other concentrates in. If you don’t then you seriously need to reevaluate your life choices. It turns out that this container has other uses besides storing your assorted dabbables, and makes a pretty decent carb cap in a pinch.

Your Grinder

Grinders also work pretty okay as a makeshift carb cap. They’re easy to grip and they’re sturdy as hell. Just make sure that your grinder is metal and you’re not using a cheap plastic one. Of course, no respectable stoner should be using a plastic grinder anyway.

Glass Bong Bowl

Bong bowls are super convenient as carb caps. The stem makes them easy to handle, the bowl is the ideal shape and the hole in the bowl almost perfectly mimics the effects of the real deal. Only a glass bowl will work for this though.

Small Glass Nug Jar

If you have a small glass nug jar, this will definitely work in a pinch, though not as well as a glass bong bowl, depending on the size of your nug jar. Obviously, you want to make sure that your nug jar is completely cleaned out. You don’t want to waste any leftover kief in that jar!

Old Domes

If you’re a dabbing enthusiast, then chances are pretty high that you have an old dome lying around that you can use as a carb cap. Hey, you finally found a use for all of your old, worn out domes that are lying around.

Glass Bottle

You know those old glass beer bottles you have sitting in your recycle bin? Turns out you can recycle them, just in a different way than you normally would. Of course, you’re going to want to make sure that the bottle has been rinsed out. Don’t use bottles that up until an hour ago contained last night’s dead soldiers.
